About Stephanie

Attachment is one of the most powerful forces we have in the world

As kids, we cling to our parents to know that we are safe, loved, and important. As we get older that can shift to our partners, peer groups, or others in our community as well.

I help people who feel like there’s something getting in the way of them being as close or connected to their loved ones as they want

I believe we all long for deep and enduring connections with important people in our lives and when those relationships have conflict we can be left feeling lost and alone, shutting down or blaming ourselves or our partner (even when we don’t want to).

With couples,

my desire as a therapist is to come alongside you and help you begin to understand the emotions that drive those moments of disconnection and eventually help you build moments of repair and reconnection with your partner.

With individuals,

this looks like helping people who are struggling to understand their emotions and how/why those show up in your relationships or prevent you from showing up in the best, most authentic way you can. Whether that’s withdrawing from others, feeling like you have to show up perfectly, or just feeling stuck overall in relationships we can work to change these patterns so you can feel more grounded and connected with those around you.

I work from a type of therapy called Emotionally Focused Couples & Individual therapy,

which gives me a framework to help you and I understand your experiences, emotions, and how that can be impacting your relationships. When we begin to understand the emotions that drive these patterns of disconnection with others we can change how we respond.

MORE ABOUT STEPHANIE

As an LMFT, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I specialize in relational therapy. Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is the main therapy model I use. EFT works great with couples and individual clients. I also integrate other types of therapy models into my work with people. This allows me to create the optimal healing environment for each one of my clients.

In my down time, I love enjoying a cozy local coffee shop, going hiking on a trail near my home, or having a game night with friends. I also love absorbing new information when I can. So on the weekends, you’ll probably catch me reading, listening to a podcast or watching a documentary.
