Getting to Know Sheila
My passion
for healing has grown from the tender places of my own heart.
The journey
to restoration is an ongoing adventure as life has a way of bringing new challenges all the time.
I have gotten to know the territory
well and can guide you to a place of healing in your own life.
Life Experience
I’ve been a wife for over 25 years and have 4 wonderful adult children who have been the source of quite a few of my own challenges. I love my family dearly but being a wife and a mother has not always come easily for me. I would say that I’ve had to grow into these roles.
However, it is through these roles and other life experiences that I have had the opportunity to develop better insight into what’s going on underneath the surface.
It is in these tender places that I let gentleness and compassion guide me in my work.
Graduate school education and specialty areas of training including EMDR, Brainspotting and other trauma processing interventions have made me uniquely qualified and able to help you. I consider it a privilege and an honor to guide be with you in your transformation process.
After being a solo practitioner for several years now,
I’m growing into group practice.
After months of contemplation and some preparation work, I’ve finally hired my first employees. This transition has arisen out of my desire to sojourn with others on their path of healing and discovery. As many of my clients can testify, my style of therapy is unique in how attuned I try to be in every relationship.
My passion is to help mentor other therapists in developing this kind of style as well.
Combining my passion for client centeredness and the development of other clinician’s skills in making people feel seen, heard, and felt, a group practice was the next logical step for Lifetouch Counseling.
As Lifetouch Counseling grows, my heart’s desire is to provide
a safe and caring place for more people to experience healing and restoration.
